Instructions1.plant tobacco seeds in march.Do not cover too thickly the seeds with soil.Do not push the seeds under the soil. This needs to be done four to six weeks before the last frost in your area. They need daylight to germinate. Place the containers near a window or provide light from an All-Spectrum electrical source. The plants are ready to be transplanted when the leaves are at least 2 inches across. This normally takes about 6 weeks. If you plant the seeds outside do it in High Ground (make a small hill) end cover them whith nylon (plastic) like a smole greenhouse.

2. Always keep the soil moist but not wet. The seeds will die if they dry out. You may need to check the soil for moisture several times during the day, until the seeds have germinated. Do not use distilled water!

3. A good temperature to germinate the seeds is about 75 - 80 degrees F.

4. Germination can begin already after three days. Longer (up to 14 days) under imperfect conditions.

5. Tobacco seeds do not contain any nutrients for the seedling to grow. They depend strongly on the soil. You need to use fresh, good soil. No pure peat moss! A good soil to germinate and to grow your plants is tomato planting soil or composted cow manure.

6. Store the seeds in a freezer to keep them viable for many decades. Acclimatize them to room temperature for two weeks before seeding.

7. If you want your plants to develop more seeds, then planting some catnip herbs nearby is advisable. Hardly any other plant draws as many bees and other insects for pollination into your garden. You will be surprised how well this works! Most packages come with some free catnip seeds.

8.Ensure the planting area will have full sun because tobacco is a heavy feeder. Rotted compost and manure should be worked into the soil. Tobacco also has a high requirement for nitrogen and potash so wood or leaves are frequently burned in the area before planting. Tobacco must be rotated frequently because it will deplete the soil of nutrients.

9.Transplant tobacco during the late evening or when it is cloudy. Water thoroughly afterwards and daily until the root system is established.

10.Keep the soil moist and well-drained. Clay should be broken-up with peat moss. Tobacco plants are usually topped when they start to flower because this encourages leaf production.

11.Use natural products such as pyrethrum to control diseases and pests if the leaves will be consumed.

How To Process and flavoringYour Own Tobacco-Πως να επεξεργαστεις και να δωσεις γευση στον καπνο
Kentucky leaf is dark and sticky it belong to aroma tobacco and must blent with virginia tobacco, i use 50% kentucky and 50% virginia  brite-leaf to accomplish blu drum smoke.if you want to accomplish and the same aroma you mast spray the tobacco with walnut and honey extract. The Virginia tobacco must dry to a oven, aromatic tobacco like Kentucky to the sun and the cigar tobacco to the shadow. i dry Virginia end Kentucky to the shadow the Virginia was fine but the Kentucky color was strange.Next year i dry them all in a greenhouse like aromatic tobacco and they was better.I Waite a rainy day so the tobacco absorbs the rite amount of moisture and then i cut it with a knife, but because i can not cut it in small pieces i wash the tobacco a little so i can squeeze it with my hands and then i cut it and i put it to dry.I use 50% Virginia bright and 50% Kentucky in my smocks. Start cutting the leaves when they starting to tern yellow,in stages(3-4) from the bottom .After they dry, .Remove the stem from the leaves.press them with the press machine (look picture)After setting for 3-4 hours, open the press machine take the brick and cut it in small pieces,(with paper shredder or cooking slicer & shredder machine look pictures). After tobacco has dried and cured properly , Place a pound of shredded tobacco into a large open tray and start misting the tobacco with the flavoring while stirring the tobacco thoroughly. 2 ounces=56grams of pre-mixed flavoring will flavor 1 pound=453grams of tobacco. After flavoring has been applied, cover container for 3-4 hours to allow tobacco to fully absorb flavoring, then spread tobacco out on a table to dry. Stir the tobacco every 4 hours or so to facilitate drying. After 24 hours, tobacco should be ready to use
You must redry the cut tobacco down to the right moisture content for smoking. Place the tobacco on a cardboard and spread out in an even layer around 1 cm thick.
Redrying time depends on temperature, ventilation and humidity and you have to judge when it's right to stop drying. Tobacco that is too moist gives a weak taste and is hard to roll, on the other hand if it's gone to dry you may have to remoisten it by a touch of water sprayed or by placing some moistened pieces of paper among tobacco wherein you keep it.http://www.google.gr/patents?hl=el&lr=&vid=USPAT4617945&id=3j4uAAAAEBAJ&oi=fnd&dq=how+flavoring+tobacco&printsec=abstract#v=onepage&q&f=false

How Cigarettes Are Made-Πως φτιαχνονται τα τσιγαρα

TobaccoCigarettes start with the harvest of both tobacco leaves and stems. These leaves and stems are then dried and cured using the combination of oxygen and direct heat. Once the product has fully cured, the leaves are broken up and mixed with paper pulp. The paper pulp is added to help the tobacco burn easier.
MaskingThe stem used to be taken out during the cigarette process due to its bitter flavor; however, since the discovery that the stem contains more nicotine than the leaf itself, the stem is now used as well. To mask the bitter taste, sugar is added to the pulp and tobacco mixture.
Ammonia
Since some of the nicotine in tobacco is trapped in salt form, ammonia is added to the tobacco mixture to help release the additional nicotine. The chemical reaction between the salt and the ammonia unlocks the nicotine and allows more of the substance to be absorbed by the body when inhaled. Nicotine in salt form can still enter the bloodstream, but not to the extent that freed nicotine can.
Additives
Depending on the cigarette type and brand, a host of other additives may be added to the cigarette. Unfortunately, according to the American Cancer , 60 of these common ingredients are carcinogens. A carcinogen is any substance that has the potential to cause cancer. Two of the most common additives to cigarettes are cocoa and licorice root. Although these two ingredients add some amount of flavor to the cigarette, they also act as bronchodilaters when burned. A bronchodilater opens up the pathways of the lungs to allow more nicotine to be absorbed through the lung tissue and into the bloodstream.
